Tides are changing.
Nothing makes this as evident as this little baby girl rolling around in my tummy. Things are going to be different. Business is going to look different. LIFE itself, is going to look vastly different than it does in this moment.
As I evaluated what I wanted Sarah Evans Weddings to look like in 2018, I had to ask myself a few questions:
- What do I really want? Sounds simple enough, right? But in this age of social media and looking to do more things and better things in this industry and in my space, I had to ask this question of myself, not my industry. How do I want life to look like? What will be my rhythm? What do I want to accomplish? I think these are good questions to ask yourself at any point in life. It’s always a good idea to evaluate. Now, you can’t forget the people who make this industry possible— clients. What do they want? What do they need? Where can my wants and their needs intersect? That is where my business needs to be.
- What is enough? Oh, this question. It challenges me. It makes me look deeper. This question was first introduced to me at Creative at Heart Conference in Raleigh, NC earlier this month. Shanna Skidmore, a.k.a my girl crush, challenged the entrepreneurs in the conference to define enough— enough for your life, enough for your business. So, this is the question that has imprinted my heart as I dream into 2018. What is enough? What do I need to accomplish enough in my business? Where do I want to be in a year? What is enough? We all know what is enough in order to obtain balance, to get out of the chaos, and learn to rest. So, here it is folks. Here are some changes to Sarah Evans Weddings.EducationThis one is for my wedding professionals. In 2017, I have made a name for myself in the advertising world of entrepreneurs. Mostly known for my success with Facebook & Instagram ads, I have created courses for professionals and have taught over 200 students all about ads in 2017. In 2018, I will take on only one-on-one clients, but I’m limiting my clients each quarter. This one was a hard decision, but again, to protect my definition of enough, I have decided education can only have a very small part of my attention in 2018.

Design & Event Management
This package has really transformed from something I thought brides needed to something I am certain they need, and something I am certainly so excited to deliver to them. It includes venue and vendor recommendations, as well as a personalized design package (my favorite!), giving you an outline of recommended design and local sourcing, to ensure your vision comes to life. I also include stationery management that includes sending out your lovely stationery and tracking your RSVPs. *praise hands*
I will be running lead on every Design & Event Management clients I take on in 2018. Meaning, every bride will be working directly with me, and only me.
But, spots are limited. In order to maintain my “enough”, and to service my Full Planning Service clients so very well, I will only be taking five lovely couples on this coming year.
Sounds like something you may need? You can inquire HERE.
This past year I took a leap of faith and hired an assistant for all 2017 Sarah Evans Weddings wedding packages. I wanted my brand to develop more consistently, and I’m so excited to tell you that this assistant has brought so much more than a helper on wedding days.
Katelyn has become an integral part of Sarah Evans Weddings. She has even managed her own weddings under the Sarah Evans Weddings this year, and has booked weddings for 2018.
Katelyn is running lead on most Event Management packages. I always tell people that she is the funnier, more extroverted version of me. She is unbelievably organized and so much fun to be around.
Every client who works with Katelyn falls in love. Literally, brides will ask to hang out with her past the wedding day. Using the same Sarah Evans Weddings processes and systems I use, she is an amazing lead planner for Sarah Evans Weddings.
So, in 2018 I am saying yes to more client care, more dedication to Design & Event Management clients, adding the best of the best to my team— but I’m also saying yes to a few summer Saturdays with my husband and our baby girl, more baby snuggles during the week, and more balance.
If you’re interested in working with Sarah Evans Weddings for 2018, don’t delay. Katelyn and I are both adding to our calendar every week. Contact us HERE to find out more about the Sarah Evans Weddings experience.
